Wow! We feel like we’re witnessing something special happening.

An old excerpt was picked up by Rad9 on Reddit last night and the response has been overwhelming.

Here is the raw excerpt making its rounds.

Re: “Alive Inside.” Kudos on this piece. I’ve read some of Oliver Sacks writing basically because of my layman’s interest in the relation of music to human response. As neither a scientist, sociologist nor musicologist, etc… I don’t have mechanical words to describe my personal response to music though I know it’s often profound.

The snippet with Henry was really beautiful. thanks!!!

    Dear Alive Inside,
will there be any way for people outside the US (I’m writing from Finland after seeing the trailer) to see Alive Inside somehow? In other words, will have an internet release?

I was wondering the same as Nadja, I would love to see the film but I’m in the UK.

For the love of all that is holy, PLEASE, tell me there will be a web cast, DVD release or some other way for Alive Inside to be seen by every and anyone. I do live in the United States, but not near any metropolitan area. It would be a great gift to many if this documentary could be seen in areas like mine. Any news as to the widespread availability of Alive Inside would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know how to best express my intense desire to see the entirety of this film. I’m an audiophile/ sound designer/ dense lover of music. This piece is the celebration of what music is and why it is the universal language. I wish so greatly to see this and to be able to bring it to my family and friends. I live in North Carolina and I don’t have the resources currently- recent college grad- to head to NYC for this viewing. So, please let us know what we need to do, to be able to enjoy this great work and share it with our family and friends. I think this is something that should be brought to major music institutions as motivator for composition- in general. Your research is so breathe taking and I want to be involved in someway, attached to it in someway- but you’ve GOTTA tell us how! Thanks so much for what you’ve embarked on!

I live in Kansas. When will I be able to see it? My mother has dementia and I get tired of hearing from staff at the home where she lives that she is doing “strange things again”. Aren’t they trained to know how to work with her! I don’t feel that they do enough to help her or other residents feel ALIVE! It makes me sick to my stomach – when people get older life is watching t.v., playing bingo, eating and sleeping – that’s it? I think there can be MORE! Don’t you?

Hi, we have just heard about the film in Perth, Western Australia. Its fantastic and the broader body of work is brilliant, hopefully it will result in the introduction of some positive programs in nursing homes in Australia and worldwide. Does it work for stroke patients too?

Thank you all for the love,

We are working hard to get this out! Henry going viral has pushed things into overdrive. The film will be out soon. I am so excited to share it with you!
