Last night was an amazing experience for me.
ALIVE INSIDE was seen for the first time. It was cool. People cried. People were moved…
Let me hear your thoughts if you were there!! This is a first festival cut, so we still have some work to do! You can help!

I have been using music for chronic pain treatment for a few years knowingly but many years unknowingly! Had a very extensicve surgery on my neck a couple of years ago and researched music/pain, and was greatly helped by my vast playlists of every possible genre of music but mostly rock. It enabled me to move the electricity from the pain area in my brain to the music area which is quite close. This is not how a scientist would describe it but it’s what worked for me. Visualizing a band and focusing on the drummer/lead guitar/vocalist, helped immensley. Music worked better than books on tape and television, which only distracted. I have just purchased my 1st ‘Bose’ product, fancy dancy headphones which I use everyday for other chronic pain issues. I dance and sing along and I think I would rather lose my eyesight than my hearing.
My grandfather suffered with Alzheimer’s disease for nearly 10 years before passing away in July 2010. I essentially grew up with this disease, helping my family take care of him for more than half my life, and it really changed me. Big band music had a tremendous effect on him in the early stages (when he could still walk, talk, etc.) and a TV, CD player and radio were always close by. After watching the few videos you have posted on YouTube, I am truly inspired by your work with Music and Memory. I look forward to seeing the full film and thank you for creating what will surely be a powerful documentary.
